Don’t Put Your Trust in Them

Psalms 146:3-4 ESV

“Put not your trust in princes,
in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;
on that very day his plans perish.”

“Princes” can be government rulers, or they can be pastors and elders of churches (or in the state church). They can be anyone in a position of authority or powerful influence over other people. But they are mere humans, not gods, although many treat them as though they are gods.

I was very disturbed in my heart during this recent election in the USA that so many Christians were idolizing men as though they were gods and that they were putting their hope in them (one or the other) to save them, and that they believed if their candidate did not win that all hope was lost.

But men can’t save us. Only God can save us! People in power and of great influence are still human, like we are. They are subject to failure. And how can we be sure they are trustworthy? We can’t. They could be wolves in sheep’s clothing just waiting to pounce on us.

So, let’s get real here. Do you believe the prophecies of Scripture? If yes, then you have to believe what the Scriptures teach about the Great Harlot, the Beast & the False Prophet (or beast #2). And you must realize that for them to conquer the entire world, that takes years to accomplish.

And do you know that the Scriptures teach that, although we don’t know the exact day and time that Jesus is coming back, we should be able to recognize when the time is near by the signs? The return of the Lord should not overtake us like a thief if we are watching for him.

And do we now see signs of global domination and a uniting of nations like we have never seen before? I believe the big “C” has shown us how united many nations are, and that they are following a similar path and plan as each other which is resulting in police states in many nations.

This is the beast, I believe, this conglomerate of nations, CEOs of corporations, various entities of power and influence, the major banks, and the wealthy and powerful elite of the world who are at the top. And they are working a plan (Agenda 21) for the takeover of the world.

Prophecy of Scripture

It is what is prophesied in Scripture, so we need to prayerfully be watching for the signs, but we have to be careful that we don’t close our minds and eyes to it not working out exactly like someone told us it would. And we have to guard our hearts against being deceived, too.

Then, there is the harlot who rides this beast. Many have different thoughts on who she is. I have most always seen her as the USA (government + state church), for I can see America’s power and influence over the rest of the world, and I am aware of what our leaders have been doing in other nations.

I don’t know everything, and I don’t understand everything, but what I do understand is that this group of elite are the ones in power over the world and the US government is subservient to them, and our nation serves this beast, and it has been destroying and taking over other nations.

So, it doesn’t really matter who is in the White House, because whoever sits in the White House is really not the one in power. And left and right don’t exist, for they are just two sides of the same whole serving the same beast with the same goals, which are for world domination (Agenda 21).

I know there are many different interpretations of end times prophecies, but the important message here is that we need to make certain we are not putting our hope and trust in a man (or a woman) or in a group of people who could turn out to be the beast or of the beast or the antichrist.

So, I am going to just encourage you to pray over everything you see and hear, test the spirits, ask God for counsel and discernment, and be willing to allow the Lord to change your thinking, if necessary. Keep your eyes and ears open for the signs and follow the Lord in obedience to his commands.

Psalms 146:5-7 ESV

“Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,
who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who keeps faith forever;
who executes justice for the oppressed,
who gives food to the hungry.”

Instead of putting our hope and trust in men (or women) to save us, we need to put our sole hope and trust in God alone.

God alone has the power to save. He alone has the power to determine the course of history and to put rulers in place, or to remove them. And he alone is all powerful and completely sovereign over all creation. Nothing can thwart his purposes, and no one can do anything that he doesn’t allow, and that he allows for a purpose.

God is the only one we can fully trust. He is the only one completely faithful in all that he does. Humans will fail us. They will deceive, trick, and betray us. They will plot evil against us, too, all the while they are pretending that they are our best friend and that they only have our best in mind.

God alone cares about us. Men (and women) make professions of concern for our welfare, and some of them may be telling the truth, but many are not. Many are faking that they care about what happens to us, while the agenda they are following speaks the opposite (Jude 1; 2 Pet 2).

Psalms 146:7-9 ESV

“The Lord sets the prisoners free;
the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.”

Okay, here I will focus more on pastors and elders than on government leaders, for many of them are professing a gospel which they say sets prisoners (to sin) free, but they don’t free them at all. They keep them still in slavery to sin while they falsely promise them freedom.

For, what they teach is a gospel which gives free license for its adherents to continue living in sin while promising them eternal life with God. Usually this is based in a cheapened (diluted, altered) half-truth gospel which cherry picks Scriptures and takes them out of context and misinterprets them.

And this is just paving the way for a one-world religion, for this gospel demands nothing of its followers other than a faith which has no substance to it, and which produces no fruit. So, it is human faith, of the flesh, not of God, for it implies or it says outright that God does not require repentance, submission to him as Lord nor obedience to his commands.

But the true gospel, which delivers us out of our slavery to sin and which empowers us to live righteous and holy lives, pleasing to God, does indeed set the prisoners free from their bondage to sin. And it requires that we die with Christ to sin, forsake our sins and our idols, that we follow our Lord in obedience, and that we submit to him as Lord (owner-master).

If we do not do what he requires and we feel we have the liberty to keep on in our sin, then we must know that we will die in our sins, not have eternal life with God (Lu 9:23-26; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-17; 1 Jn 1:5-9; 1 Jn 2:3-6; Gal 5:16-21; Eph 5:3-6; Gal 6:7-8; Rom 2:6-8; 1 Co 6:9-10; 2 Co 5:10).

For Our Nation

An Original Work / September 11, 2012

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
