“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into … Continue reading Let Us Love One Another
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
No Fear in Love
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his … Continue reading No Fear in Love
Abiding in God
“Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected … Continue reading Abiding in God
In Order to Bring Us Into Bondage
“But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage. But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain … Continue reading In Order to Bring Us Into Bondage
Getting Our Counsel From God
“For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it; and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions. But when God, who had … Continue reading Getting Our Counsel From God
Are You Striving to Please Humans?
“For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. … Continue reading Are You Striving to Please Humans?
Christianity as America’s National Religion?
“They eagerly seek you, not commendably, but they wish to shut you out so that you will seek them.” (Galatians 4:17 NASB1995) It is good if you can read the entire book of Galatians in order to get the full picture of what was going on here. But basically there was a group of Judaizers … Continue reading Christianity as America’s National Religion?
Rescued from Slavery to Sin
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen. “I am amazed that you are so quickly … Continue reading Rescued from Slavery to Sin
But The Lord Helped Me
“You pushed me violently so that I was falling,But the Lord helped me.The Lord is my strength and song,And He has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:13-14 NASB1995) If we are the Lord’s servants and messengers, and if we are taking the truth of the gospel to the people of the world, we should expect that … Continue reading But The Lord Helped Me
Fake, Deceptive, Conniving
