The Lord Jesus gave me a vision this morning that he is using to help me get out of this passage the lesson he has for me to share today from his Word. The Vision: I saw a very large vehicle, like a Cadillac from the 1960s, drive up in front of a building, right … Continue reading The Devil’s Schemes
Jeremiah 17:1-4 ESV “The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars, while their children remember their altars and their Asherim, beside every green tree and on the high hills, on the … Continue reading Can’t? I Peter 2:1-3 ESV So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. We read in the first chapter of 1 … Continue reading The Whole Point
Galatians 5:13-15 ESV For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Psalm 23:1-3 ESV The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. There are things going on in my life which sometimes begin to stress me out. They trouble my mind. And, yes, they do have to do with people doing evil and succeeding in their plans, temporarily. And, sometimes my mind begins to race ahead thinking about such things, and I have to rein in those thoughts and bring them into submission to Jesus Christ. And, this morning was one of those times. But, sometimes the Lord has to prompt me in this. Praise the Lord for all these songs he has given me to write, for he uses them in my life all the time to speak his truths into my heart. And, while my mind was racing ahead this morning, he put this song into my mind, and it worked. I yielded to his sovereignty and gave this over to him.
I think some of us or all of us at times get fearful when those who do evil succeed in their plans, and it is because we are not trusting in the Lord, and we are not resting in him; and/or it is because we believe somehow that evil can trump God, but it cannot!
Our God and Lord Jesus Christ is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion. God the Father has placed all things under Jesus’ feet. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. In everything he has the supremacy. Amen! He is the ruler of God’s creation; the head over every power and authority; and all angels, authorities and powers are in submission to him. Praise God! In that we can rest secure, knowing that God rules supreme over all. [See: Eph. 1:15-23; Col. 1:15-20; Rev. 3:14; Col. 2:9-10; &…
