“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this … Continue reading Necks on The Line
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Truly Thankful
“For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of … Continue reading Truly Thankful
Christ’s Dismissal
“So Jesus again said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out … Continue reading Christ’s Dismissal
Why Did Jesus Come?
Luke 1:30-35 ESV And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And … Continue reading Why Did Jesus Come?
Lying Tongues are Not Kind
Prior to the words following are godly words of counsel in Colossians 3 to those of genuine faith in Jesus Christ, who have died with Christ to sin, and who have been raised with him to walk in newness of life in him. Jesus Christ is Sending Us
“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples … Continue reading Jesus Christ is Sending Us
But to Preach the Gospel
“For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of … Continue reading But to Preach the Gospel
His Sheep Listen and Obey
“So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, ‘How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.’ Jesus answered them, ‘I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe … Continue reading His Sheep Listen and Obey
What or Who Has Your Heart?
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. … Continue reading What or Who Has Your Heart?
