We read in Acts 13:2 that the Holy Spirit set apart Barnabas and Saul (Paul) for the work to which he had called them. And so Paul and Barnabas began their missionary journey together, going from one city to another, proclaiming the word of God to the people. But they faced much persecution on their … Continue reading On a Missionary Journey
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Have No Fear!
I am now reading in Acts 9, some of which I will summarize, and some of which I will quote in the NASB1995. Saul, who later became the apostle Paul, was still on a rampage against the followers of Jesus Christ, and he was on his way to Damascus to persecute even more followers of … Continue reading Have No Fear!
Divine Appointments
I am reading in Acts 8. I will summarize some and quote some. This was after the stoning of Stephen. Saul, who later became Paul, was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house. And dragging off people, he would put them in prison. Yet, … Continue reading Divine Appointments

I Cannot Stop Speaking About Jesus Christ
Twenty-one years ago, in 2004, my husband Rick and I were training to be church planters with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance), the church denomination I grew up under. Rick was going for his ordination, and I was going for my consecration. So there was a district prayer conference (September 13-16, 2004) for … Continue reading I Cannot Stop Speaking About Jesus Christ
Disowning Jesus, Accepting the Lie
In context, Peter and John, two of Jesus’ disciples/apostles, were instrumental in the healing of a man who had been lame from his mother’s womb. While the man was still clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them, full of amazement, as if the apostles had healed this man by their … Continue reading Disowning Jesus, Accepting the Lie

But before he left he commanded his followers to wait for the promised Holy Spirit whom he would send … Continue reading Your Sons and Daughters Shall Prophesy
