“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I … Continue reading They’re Mostly Dead
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Avoiding Change
“So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, … Continue reading Avoiding Change
One New Man Out of Two
“Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called ‘Uncircumcision’ by the so-called ‘Circumcision,’ which is performed in the flesh by human hands— remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without … Continue reading One New Man Out of Two
By Grace, Through Faith
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” … Continue reading By Grace, Through Faith
You Formerly Walked
“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our … Continue reading You Formerly Walked
To The Lukewarm Church
“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I … Continue reading To The Lukewarm Church
The Two, One Flesh
“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, ‘The two … Continue reading The Two, One Flesh
Do You Not Know?
Some of the professers of faith in Jesus Christ were taking one another to court with lawsuits against one another, and they were wronging and defrauding their professed brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus. And so Paul was confronting them on these issues. And then he said to them: “Or do you not know … Continue reading Do You Not Know?
With Perversity of Heart
“A worthless person, a wicked man,Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet,Who points with his fingers;Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,Who spreads strife. Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.” (Proverbs 6:12-15 NASB1995) … Continue reading With Perversity of Heart
