“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on … Continue reading Acting on God’s Words
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Saying What You Don’t Mean
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in … Continue reading Saying What You Don’t Mean
Beware of False Teachers
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot … Continue reading Beware of False Teachers
The Way is Narrow
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14 NASB1995) A gate is a … Continue reading The Way is Narrow

Habakkuk, who was a prophet of God in Old Testament times, was having a conversation with God with regard to all the evil that was going on among his people. “Come, let us worship and bow down,Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God,And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.Today, if you would hear His voice,Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,As in the day of Massah in the wilderness,‘When your fathers tested … Continue reading Kneel Before The Lord
Broken and Regretful
When we are born into this world, we are born with sin natures, in the image of Adam, the first man God created, and the first man to sin against God. We are separate from God, unable within ourselves to be made righteous in the sight of God. We sin, by nature, and we are … Continue reading Broken and Regretful
In The Bond of Peace
“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3 NASB1995) … Continue reading In The Bond of Peace
