Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; 6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. 7 Therefore, … Continue reading The Deceitfulness of Sin
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
We Must Give Account
“Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of … Continue reading We Must Give Account
Out of Our Bondage
Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by … Continue reading Out of Our Bondage
To All Who Obey Christ
“Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.” (Hebrews 5:8-9 NASB1995) This is speaking of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the second person of our triune God – … Continue reading To All Who Obey Christ
Are You Dull of Hearing?
“Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and … Continue reading Are You Dull of Hearing?
Jealousy and Selfish Ambition
“Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is … Continue reading Jealousy and Selfish Ambition
Heirs of The Promise
“..God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This … Continue reading Heirs of The Promise
We Must Press On!
We live in a day and time when being a “Christian” appears to be based primarily (or largely) on a verbal confession of Christ as Savior, but without any requirements at all for a changed life, or very loose requirements, at best. If one has made that confession of faith in Jesus Christ they are … Continue reading We Must Press On!
I Will Exult in The Lord
“I heard and my inward parts trembled,At the sound my lips quivered.Decay enters my bones,And in my place I tremble.Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress,For the people to arise who will invade us.Though the fig tree should not blossomAnd there be no fruit on the vines,Though the yield of the olive … Continue reading I Will Exult in The Lord
