“As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4-5 ESV) See also: “I … Continue reading A Spiritual House
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.

“Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. They Were Not United by Faith
“Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.” … Continue reading They Were Not United by Faith
Subtle Lies?
I read a meme on social media that had me concerned that it might be giving out a subtle false message. It was quoting a passage of Scripture, but the translation was not identified, so I don’t know the source. But then I read the passage of Scripture in the ESV, so I am going … Continue reading Subtle Lies?
Manipulative Tactics
“Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery— to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.” (Galatians 2:4-5 … Continue reading Manipulative Tactics
