Subtle Lies?
I read a meme on social media that had me concerned that it might be giving out a subtle false message. It was quoting a passage of Scripture, but the translation was not identified, so I don’t know the source. But then I read the passage of Scripture in the ESV, so I am going … Continue reading Subtle Lies?
Manipulative Tactics
“Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery— to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.” (Galatians 2:4-5 … Continue reading Manipulative Tactics
Making it Personal
This is another video talk, originally posted on February 28, 2023: Now, I am not really going to write anything here on this one much at all. Holy and Acceptable to God
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. The Plans of God for Us
The following was a specific promise given by God to a specific people at a particular time in history under very distinct circumstances which are not relevant to us today. The people of God were under the judgment of God for a period of 70 years. So, the Lord was giving them specific instructions for … Continue reading The Plans of God for Us
Look How You Walk
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, … Continue reading Look How You Walk
The Will of God
“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.” (1 Peter 4:1-2 ESV) I … Continue reading The Will of God
