When I was inquiring of the Lord this afternoon as to the lyrics to go with the tune he had given me, I was praying to the Lord, “Show me your heart, Lord. This is not about me. Show me your heart.” And, he did. Yet, he also showed me our hearts, too. Many people in this world don’t know the Lord, and many who profess to know him are not living for him. Some of those are living in rebellion against God, while others are still in bondage to sinful life patterns. The way in which the Lord showed me his heart was to show me how much he loves us, which is why he died for our sins, so that we could go free. And, he is calling out to us to love him, to worship and obey him, to turn from our sins, and to serve him only.

Tenderly He speaks, softly so.
Gently He calls – His will to know.
Won’t you invite Him in your heart?
Humbly accept Him now.
Bow before Him with contrite heart.
May you obey His will.
Seek Him with all your heart and soul,
And your heart, His Spirit fill.
Jesus died to free you from sin,
Giving you new life to begin,
Walking with Him ev’ry hour,
Obeying His commands.
Won’t you trust Him to be your Lord?
His grace you can’t afford.
Freely He gives you peace within,
When you turn from all your sin.
Live for Him ev’ry passing day.
Meet with Him; read His word and pray.
Serve Him in the way He leads you,
Doing all that He says.
Do unto others as you would
Have them do unto you.
Love them with Jesus love within you.

Awesome!! Only once in my life did I receive a song from the Lord. Lyrics, tune and I could hear all the instruments in my head too. I wrote it out like this and always wondered what I was to do with it. It was a beautiful experience to have that download from Heaven… Thank you for visiting my blog. Soraya, Thank you. I appreciate you sharing that with me. I would love to hear your song from heaven. The Bible says we are to speak to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Spiritual songs means they come from God to us. By the way, the Lord sometimes speaks to me in dreams and visions, too. He uses them like parables to illustrate Biblical truth as applied to our world or to my life today. I would love to read some of yours, too. God bless!

Many of my dreams and visions I have shared on my blog, yes. Wow, my song experience was long ago. About 15 years ago! Crazy! And I still remember thw whole song. You write songs more often?

Soraya, The Lord Jesus gave me 163 songs to write between April of 2011 and June of 2014 and then the flow stopped. Since I began this blog, I have been trying to post one a day. I think maybe I have around 20 left to post, and then maybe I will post them all again, for many people who are reading them now did not read the earlier ones. So, they would be new to them.
I don’t know if he will give me more songs to write or if that was it. He has me include songs in with my devotions each day, but so many songs others have written are all copyrighted so I can’t quote much of the lyrics. These I can quote all the lyrics, so I suspect that is one of the reasons he gave me these songs. I know they encourage my heart regularly. They are all based off scripture, so it is a way for me to commit scripture to memory by putting it to music.
