Nahum 3:1-4 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)

“1Woe to the city of blood, full of lies, full of plunder, never without prey. 2The crack of the whip, the rumble of the wheel, galloping horse and bounding chariot! 3Charging horseman, flashing sword, shining spear;
heaps of slain, mounds of corpses, dead bodies without end— they stumble over their dead— 4because of the many harlotries of the harlot, the seductive mistress of sorcery, who betrays nations by her prostitution and clans by her witchcraft.”

Another Harlot

In the context in which this was written, this was in reference to the judgment of God on Nineveh. But we have a New Testament parallel to this written about in the book of Revelation with regard to the last days before the return of Christ Jesus for His faithful bride. And it, as well, is about a city (or a nation) of bloodshed and lies and plunder, never without prey, with heaps of slain and mounds of corpses and dead bodies without end. And it, I believe, is the harlot being spoken of in the book of Revelation.

Sadly, it is the nation in which I was born and have lived all 76 years of my life. It is the United States of America, but more specifically the government of this nation. For no other nation on this planet earth has the power and influence and military presence that the USA has across the globe. No other nation on this earth has the number of military bases in other nations as our government has, and no other nation is going around the world conquering one nation after another, killing their people, and stealing their products.

A harlot is not just someone who sells themselves out for money, offering up their bodies to anyone willing to pay for their services. The word “harlot” can also be used in a political sense to represent governments and government officials who exercise corruption, who compromise principles, and who exercise power over other people while lacking in accountability. And I have witnessed this going on within my own government in the USA over and over again, including right now with their actions (as reported) in Iran.

False Flag Operations

All of my life, and before I was born, my government has been involved in conquering other nations, and their own people, in the use of “false flag operations,” where they plot evil and they carry out the evil but then they blame their evil deeds on someone else, which is what I believe happened on 9/11/01 with the destruction of the World Trade Centers here in the USA. And they fake situations in other nations which they create so that they can go into these other nations to take them down and to steal their resources.

Beginning in 2004 and beyond the Lord led me to read the news stories about these take-downs in Afghanistan, Tunisia, Egypt, Gaza Strip, West Bank, Turkey, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Greece, Syria and Ukraine, and others, and now Iran, too. The stories all had a very similar Modus Operandi. First, the wealthy and powerful elite, via the USA government (the harlot), created the chaos, trouble, uprising, disaster, mass murders, and racial, political, or religious tensions, etc., and then they went in as “saviors” with a preconceived plan for “rescuing” (i.e. conquering) these nations.

Then they formed transitional (New World Order) governments, and they threatened all nations, via the UN and the US government, with “dire consequences” if they did not cooperate with the “international community,” alias New World Order Beast. One nation at a time the world as we know it is being brought under the Order of the Beast into this One World totalitarian regime. And the USA is already under the New World Order, I believe, but most people don’t see it yet. And we have yet to feel the full impacts of it.

I will show your nakedness to the nations and your shame to the kingdoms. 6I will pelt you with filth and treat you with contempt; I will make a spectacle of you. 7Then all who see you will recoil from you and say, ‘Nineveh is devastated; who will grieve for her?’ Where can I find comforters for you?”

Put Your Trust in God

So don’t put your trust in other human beings. Don’t put your trust in government heads and rulers of nations and military power. Don’t put your trust in the news media or in pastors and elders of “church” congregations. And don’t put your trust in the physical and political nation called “Israel” which is not the Israel of God, but is a political regime tied in with and joined in with the US government. For the Israel of God is comprised of all who are of biblical faith in Jesus Christ (Jew or Gentile) who obey His commands.

So, put your trust fully in God and in the teachings of the Scriptures which were written down for us who trust in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of our lives. But study them in their correct biblical context, for many lies are being taught from Scriptures being taught outside of their biblical context. And please know that the Scriptures teach that by faith in Jesus Christ we must deny self, die to sin, and obey God and His commands as a matter of life practice. For if sin and disobedience to God are what we practice, deliberately and habitually, we will not have eternal life with God.

My people have forsaken Me,
Their Savior, who died on a tree;
Made idols, and they worshipped them;
So empty, they will ne’er fulfill.

Lord, You are the hope of Your chosen ones.
Those who turn away from You will be shamed;
The Spring of Living Water left behind.

Living Water satisfies.

The thirsty, let them come and drink;
Believe in Jesus as their King;
The gift of Jesus given them,
So they will never thirst again.

Indeed, the Living Water flows within.
It springs up like a fountain cleansing sin.
Eternal life in heaven promised them.

Living Water glorifies.

Oh people, won’t you come to Him?
Obey Him and repent of sin.
Let Jesus come and live within.
Surrender all your life to Him.

My people, won’t you turn your hearts to Me?
Forsake your idols and then you’ll be free.
Won’t you come now to Me on bended knee?

Living Water sanctifies.
