“Behold, as for the proud one,His soul is not right within him;But the righteous will live by his faith.Furthermore, wine betrays the haughty man,So that he does not stay at home.He enlarges his appetite like Sheol,And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nationsAnd collects to himself all peoples.” (Habakkuk 2:4-5 … Continue reading He Enlarges His Appetite
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
For The Appointed Time
“I will stand on my guard postAnd station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me,And how I may reply when I am reproved. Then the Lord answered me and said,‘Record the visionAnd inscribe it on tablets,That the one who reads it may run.For the vision is yet … Continue reading For The Appointed Time
How Long, O Lord?
“The oracle which Habakkuk the prophet saw.‘How long, O Lord, will I call for help,And You will not hear?I cry out to You, “Violence!”Yet You do not save. Why do You make me see iniquity,And cause me to look on wickedness?Yes, destruction and violence are before me;Strife exists and contention arises. Therefore the law is ignoredAnd justice … Continue reading How Long, O Lord?
By The Spirit
“The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! This is He on behalf of whom I said, “After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.” I did not recognize Him, … Continue reading By The Spirit
Make It Straight
This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent to him priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he *said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” … Continue reading Make It Straight
The True Light
“There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them … Continue reading The True Light

“O that You would slay the wicked, O God;Depart from me, therefore, men of bloodshed. For they speak against You wickedly,And Your enemies take Your name in vain.Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my … Continue reading Know My Anxious Thoughts
Accepting God’s Sovereign Will

All For the Sake of The Gospel
“For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more. To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so … Continue reading All For the Sake of The Gospel
