“To you, O Lord, I call;my rock, be not deaf to me,lest, if you be silent to me,I become like those who go down to the pit.Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my handstoward your most holy sanctuary.” “Blessed be the Lord! For he has … Continue reading When I Can’t Hear Him
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Bear One Another’s Burdens
“My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:19-20 ESV) “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual … Continue reading Bear One Another’s Burdens

Returning to Where You Were Persecuted
“Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore … Continue reading Returning to Where You Were Persecuted

“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call … Continue reading Letters to the Seven Churches, Ephesus
Believing God for the Impossible
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. … Continue reading Believing God for the Impossible
Jesus Died to Free Us
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will … Continue reading Jesus Died to Free Us
Are You Engaged in Idolatry?
“Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did. Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play’.” (1 Corinthians 10:6-7 ESV) I found this definition of idolatry online: … Continue reading Are You Engaged in Idolatry?
My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who is God, the second person of our triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – left his throne in heaven, came to the earth, and was born as a baby to a human mother, but conceived of the Holy Spirit and not of man. So … Continue reading My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation
