“How great are your works, O Lord!Your thoughts are very deep! The stupid man cannot know;the fool cannot understand this:that though the wicked sprout like grassand all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever;but you, O Lord, are on high forever. For behold, your enemies, O Lord, for behold, your enemies shall perish;all evildoers shall be scattered.” (Psalms … Continue reading The Fool Cannot Understand This
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
When There’s No Hiding Place
“And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, ‘Save us, Lord; we are perishing.’ And he said to them, ‘Why are … Continue reading When There’s No Hiding Place
He is Pouring Out His Spirit
“Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God,for he has given the early rain for your vindication;he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before. “The threshing floors shall be full of grain;the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.I will restore to you the … Continue reading He is Pouring Out His Spirit
Gossip
“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, … Continue reading Gossip
He Trains Our Hands for Battle
“Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war,and my fingers for battle;he is my steadfast love and my fortress,my stronghold and my deliverer,my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.” (Psalms 144:1-2 ESV) I used to believe that humans had power over me that God could do … Continue reading He Trains Our Hands for Battle
Abusers and The Abused
Psalms 62:3-4 ESV “How long will all of you attack a manto batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah” This passage of Scripture is somewhat open to interpretation, so it can be … Continue reading Abusers and The Abused

Die to The Old, Live to The New
“Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let … Continue reading Die to The Old, Live to The New
The Way You Learned Christ
“Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous … Continue reading The Way You Learned Christ
Work Out Your Own Salvation
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:12-13 ESV) There is a … Continue reading Work Out Your Own Salvation
