“For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. … Continue reading We Do Not Preach Ourselves, but Christ as Lord
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Blinded to The Truth
“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if … Continue reading Blinded to The Truth
Do Not Lose Heart
“Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which … Continue reading Do Not Lose Heart
I Hear of Your Love
“I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is … Continue reading I Hear of Your Love
What We Sow We Reap
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing … Continue reading What We Sow We Reap
We Should Restore Them
“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But … Continue reading We Should Restore Them
The Way in Which We Walk
“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,But the prayer of the upright is His delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,But He loves one who pursues righteousness.Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way;He who hates reproof will die.” (Proverbs 15:8-10 NASB1995) If all we do … Continue reading The Way in Which We Walk
What’s a Harsh Word?
“A gentle answer turns away wrath,But a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable,But the mouth of fools spouts folly. The eyes of the Lord are in every place,Watching the evil and the good.A soothing tongue is a tree of life,But perversion in it crushes the spirit.” (Proverbs 15:1-4 NASB1995) As … Continue reading What’s a Harsh Word?
