And the Lord said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Hear the words of this covenant and do them. For I solemnly warned your fathers in the day that I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, warning … Continue reading Yet They Did Not Obey
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
All Glory Belongs to God
“Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God. For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; … Continue reading All Glory Belongs to God
According to Christ Jesus
“Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ‘The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.’ … Continue reading According to Christ Jesus
Testing Our Faith by What Standard?
“Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB1995) By what or whose standard do we test ourselves to see whether or not our faith which we profess in … Continue reading Testing Our Faith by What Standard?
That I May Speak the Truth Boldly
“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery … Continue reading That I May Speak the Truth Boldly
Judgment with Mercy
“The Lord utters His voice before His army;Surely His camp is very great,For strong is he who carries out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome,And who can endure it?‘Yet even now,’ declares the Lord,‘Return to Me with all your heart,And with fasting, weeping and mourning; And rend your heart and … Continue reading Judgment with Mercy
Be Strong in The Lord
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces … Continue reading Be Strong in The Lord
Laying Aside the Old Self
“So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, … Continue reading Laying Aside the Old Self
