In context, God had rejected Saul from being king over Israel, and he had now chosen David, one of the sons of Jesse to be king, only Samuel did not yet know which son of Jesse that God had chosen. So, when he first looked at Jesse’s son Eliab he thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed … Continue reading God Sees Not as Man Sees
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Teeter-Totter “Christians”
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For … Continue reading Teeter-Totter “Christians”
Every Perfect Gift
“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. The False Light Darkens
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13 NASB1995) There are many people in … Continue reading The False Light Darkens
