My Refuge and My Fortress “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most HighWill abide in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress,My God, in whom I trust!’” (Psalm 91:1-2 NASB1995) If we, who believe in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of our lives, … Continue reading My God, in Whom I Trust
Bible Studies
For the past year the Lord has been having me write chronological studies of books of the New Testament. And I have been keeping those in collections on my computer by books of the Bible. My husband has encouraged me to create a new category and subcategories for those who might want to read these particular studies by book. Each one is from my personal devotions and they may not cover every verse or every chapter, and they might be in reverse order by chapter since that is the order in which they were posted, i.e. the last will appear first. This is a work in progress, so this may take me a while to recategorize and retag each post. I hope and pray this is beneficial to you.
Kneel Before The Lord
“Come, let us worship and bow down,Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God,And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.Today, if you would hear His voice,Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,As in the day of Massah in the wilderness,‘When your fathers tested … Continue reading Kneel Before The Lord
Broken and Regretful
When we are born into this world, we are born with sin natures, in the image of Adam, the first man God created, and the first man to sin against God. We are separate from God, unable within ourselves to be made righteous in the sight of God. We sin, by nature, and we are … Continue reading Broken and Regretful
In The Bond of Peace
“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3 NASB1995) … Continue reading In The Bond of Peace
By the Blood of Christ
“Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called ‘Uncircumcision’ by the so-called ‘Circumcision,’ which is performed in the flesh by human hands— remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without … Continue reading By the Blood of Christ
Give Thanks
“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB1995) If you look up this word “rejoice” in the Greek Interlinear, you should discover that this word “rejoice” has to do with experiencing and delighting in God’s grace. And if you look … Continue reading Give Thanks
Seek After What is Good
“But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the … Continue reading Seek After What is Good
Be Alert and Sober
“Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly … Continue reading Be Alert and Sober
Deliberate and Habitual Sinning
“Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with … Continue reading Deliberate and Habitual Sinning
