King David had it in his heart to build a house for God, for the ark of the covenant of God had been dwelling in a tent. But, the Lord sent Nathan the prophet to speak to David, telling him that it would not be him who would build a house for God, but it … Continue reading For His Purposes Alone

Love in Truth
Romans 12:1 ESV I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. When we come to faith in Jesus Christ, this is not merely about Jesus forgiving us our sins so that we can go … Continue reading Love in Truth
God’s Plans for Us
Within the church today, at least here in America, we have people who are preaching “feel good” messages to the people, telling them that they can “believe” in Jesus, that nothing is required of them, and that heaven is guaranteed them when they die, and that nothing bad will happen to them, and even that … Continue reading God’s Plans for Us

So, not all of this is going to apply to us, the church, today. Yet, some of this is repeated in … Continue reading Are You Being Tested?
Blind, But Have Eyes
In America (USA), we are saturated with the Word of God. Bibles are sold nearly everywhere that books are sold, and the last that I looked, they could be rented from the public library, and some ministries even give them out for free. Scriptures are posted on billboards, on Facebook, on Twitter, and the Bible … Continue reading Blind, But Have Eyes
Mouths of Liars Stopped
We live in an age of great deception. So much of what we hear from the pulpit (podium) in churches, from the news media, and from our government leaders cannot be trusted. We can’t trust much of what we read on the internet, either, or on social media sites, or even on Christian-based discussion sites. … Continue reading Mouths of Liars Stopped
Preserving Faith
Isaiah 26:1-4 ESV In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because … Continue reading Preserving Faith
