War, politics, lies, betrayal, the murdering of innocents, our young men and women in uniform dying on a battle field via men of power; takeovers of nations, sin abounding, the church asleep or complacent for the most part; the gospel diluted, and do we even notice? Through all that is going on in this world of ours, Jesus is gently calling us to Him to make him Lord (master) of our lives. The good news is that God is in absolute control over all things, and he will work it all out for our good. We need to pray much for our nation.
“Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods” (Ps. 40:4).
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
“You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:17-24).

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.
Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.

Glory to God! Thank you, Lynn. This was the only song professionally recorded. A music producer saw some of my songs on LinkedIn, and he contacted me about recording some of them.
At first I told him “No,” but then he asked me if I had prayed about it. I hadn’t, honestly, so I took it to the Lord to prayer, and it could not have been more clear that I was supposed to go to Nashville, TN and record the song.
So, the producer/musician had me send him the song and he began composing a musical arrangement of it, and so we worked on it back and forth online, and then Rick and I were scheduled to go to Nashville for the recording.
But, a few days before the recording, I lost my voice. So, I prayed about that, and the Lord still said to go and to trust him, that he would make a way where there seemed to be no way. Rick was in agreement with me to come here, which is where we now live, and to trust God with my voice.
The day I was to record the song, I still had no voice, so we went into that recording studio totally on faith, and God supplied miraculously the exact voice he wanted for this recording.
Since it is not as professional as what most people would like for it to be something put on the radio, it hasn’t really gone further than any of the other songs, that I am aware of, but I don’t know what God did with it.
But, I know God performed a miracle that day and he had his purposes for it all that I may never know. But, it was an awesome experience and it was worth what it cost us. We both feel that way.
So, all the glory belongs to God, from beginning to end and for however he chooses to use it and me for his glory.
