The Grim Reaper

An Original Work / April 26, 2020

Dancing, dancing in the wind,
Flickering, flickering, idols grim.
Movies, movies, what’s in store?
The grim reaper at your door.

Trickery, trickery, that’s their way,
So in hopes that you they’d sway.
Horrid, horrid, all aghast!
Messages, messages, out they blast!

Pointless, pointless, all’s a game,
So they can put you to shame.
Baffle, baffle, mystify.
Complicated? It’s a lie!

Sidetrack, sidetrack, entertain.
What’s at work and Who’s to gain?
Falsehood, falsehood, cooked with truth,
Sort through, sort through all their tools.

Doubtful, doubtful, all confuse,
For, you see, it’s all a ruse.
This side, that side – all the same.
So you don’t know who to blame.

Increase, increase, worse and worse,
Second verse same as the first.
Tie them up, keep off their feet.
So the lies they not defeat.

Invent, invent, fabricate,
Massive effort up to date.
Months and months, more of the same,
No one, really, takes the blame.

Mixture, mixture, truth and lies,
Distrust, distrust many sides.
Nonsense, nonsense, who’s to tell
True or false? It’s all a spell.

    • Tosin, thank you. Glory to God! Yes, Jesus is the truth. And, his Word is truth. And, so we need to know the word of God so that we can discern truth from lies.

However, there are a lot of words being spoken as truth, that are really lies, that can’t be discerned just by reading Scripture. Like if your child tells you he didn’t do something but he did it. So, you have to discern if he is telling you the truth or lies.

So, we have to be praying about the things that we hear from others, no matter who they are, because not everyone speaks the truth. There are a lot of liars and deceivers out there. So, we need to pray for discernment to know truth from lies, for not everything is all that obvious. And, that is why it is called deception, and many are deceived.

So, to truly close our hearts to the distractions of the lies of the enemy and his demons, we need wisdom to know who is working for Satan, and who is deceiving us with trickery so that we don’t believe the lies thinking we are believing the truth.
